Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

There is another fun Coffee Lovers Blog Hop going on right now... with a fall theme this time.  And Verve has come out with this limited-time digital freebie coffee stamp to celebrate the occasion, so I took some time this evening to make up a card:
I've used the September, week 4 sketch from the Viva La Verve blog, and am entering it into the Verve September Challenge "Autumn Lovelies" as well.  Enjoy the hop!
Patterned papers are Forest Friends, Doodlebug Designs; Cardstock is Bazzil & Chocolate, CTMH; Copic Markers; Sprightly Sprigs die, Verve; Digi stamp, Verve.

Ballerina Eunice

Eunice has long been one of my favourites from the Art Impressions line of Golden Oldies... and THEN I discovered Ballerina Eunice (Sku #M1767) - she is perfect for this time of year!  I've paired her up with the fun Cleverly Disguised (Sku #G2630) sentiment:
I love these fall papers - they make for a fun & bright card with a bit of Halloween flair with Eunice dressed in costume.  Here are the Copics that I used to colour her up:
Skin - E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair - E57, E55, E53, E51
Dress - RV19, RV17, RV14, RV13, RV11
Shoes/mask - B05, B02, B01, B00, B000
Gold - Y26, Y23, E50

Halloween cards

I'm in a Halloween mood right now - so I'm going to share a couple of Halloween cards with you.  There are brand new Try-fold and Windows to the World sets available now on the Art Impressions website, so today I'm sharing Eerie Cheery Window (Sku #M4690):
I started by gluing an orange circle die cut onto the front of my card, and then used the Window Die (Sku #4619) to cut my opening.  Once the opening was there, I positioned my image underneath it and glued it down to the inside of my card.  It's a little clearer to see the card when I hold it shut:
This card was definitely inspired by my teammate Diane - she did the cutest pumpkin shaped card with this stamp & die - you can see her card here!

My second card is the brand new Haunted House TF (Sku #4688):
These images were so awesome to colour!  And all three of them would work just fine on their own, on a card.  Here's the inside - the haunted house is my favourite:
 Copics used: Greys - W7, W5, W3, W1, W00
Oranges - YR18, YR16, YR15, YR12, YR00
Greens - YG07, YG05, YG03, YG01
Purples - BV08, BV04, BV02, BV01, BV00, BV000
Browns - E57, E55, E53, E51, E50
Blues - B28, B26, B24, B23, B21
Yellows - Y38, Y35, Y32

The Challenge #42

I'm just sneakin' this one in under the wire!  I really wanted to play along with The Challenge this week, because my wonderful niece Allie is the guest designer!  I am in need of a new stash of birthday cards, so I put together one using this week's colour inspiration:
Stamp sets are Doodled Designs & Make a Wish, Close To My Heart; Cardstock is Ocean, Breeze, Cotton Candy & Ruby, CTMH; Inks are Black, Breeze, Ruby, Ocean & Cotton Candy, CTMH; Chevron Border dies, My Favorite Things; Stitched STAX die, MFT; Gumdrops, Your Next Embellie.

Exclusive Ai STAMPtember set!

Woo Hoo!  Art Impressions is very excited to be launching a Simon Says Stamp exclusive stamp set to help celebrate STAMPtember!  This Ai Girlfriends set is called Dance It Out Set - and is available for purchase NOW on the SSS site - you can find it HERE.  To help get the party started, the Ai Design team have been making cards to show off this great new set - here's what I came up with:
The set comes with this fun image, and 3 sentiments.  "Hips don't lie" absolutely cracked me up... can't you hear Shakira playing in the background??  Here's what the set looks like:

I made my card as a 5 3/4" square, did a little zigzag stitching with my sewing machine, added some die cut shapes and then popped up my image after fussy cutting around the dancing girlfriends.  A few enamel dots, and that's it!  Here's a closeup:

The last Crazy Bird

You may have seen me posting Crazy Birds cards over the past week... so here is the final one in the set.  Scroll down to see all five together!

I had a blast making these!  And my girlfriend Chelsie who received them, loved them too.

New Art Impressions

I have a couple of wonderful new Christmas stamps to share today from the Art Impressions Fall 2015 collection - brand new Windows to the World and Try-fold sets are now available on the Art Impressions website.  The Design Team is showing off all of the new stamps today on the Ai blog - so be sure to head over and check them all out.  My first card is Savior Window (Sku #M4689):
I've used the Window Die (Sku #4619), and mounted it over a 2" square opening, which allows you to see inside to the sweet holiday scene:

These are such quick little scenes to colour up, and the die makes assembly pretty easy.  And now for my Try-fold card & tag that I made using Christmas Scene TF (Sku #4687):
I made a little belly band to hold it shut:

The snowman image is the perfect size & design to use on a tag:
We have a fun challenge happening on the Art Impressions blog: "Cut Your Cards" - we want to see your creations with windows, openings or fancy cuts (both the Try-folds and Windows to the World stamps are perfect for this one!)  You can link up your creation over on the Ai blog.
